Dr Bakalis was recently invited to attend the Washington Redskins 70th
Anniversary Celebration held on October 25, 2002 in Washington D.C.
The event honored the 70 greatest Redskins football players of all time
and benefited the Washington Redskins Leadership Council founded by
Redskins owner, Mr Dan Snyder.
Dr Bakalis had the opportunity to visit again with Redskins coach Steve
Spurrier, and owner Dan Snyder. During the exciting evening honoring
the greatest Redskins, Dr Bakalis had the honor visiting with such
Redskins greats; Coach Joe Gibbs, John Riggins, Joe Theismann
Art Monk, Sonny Jurgensen, Billy Kilmer, Gary Clark, Larry Brown,
Mark Moseley, Ricky Sanders, Pat Fisher, Mike Bass, Mark Rypien, Vince
Promuto Neil Olkewicz, Eddie LeBaron, Darrell Green, and NFL commioner Paul
Tagleabue, Dr Bakalis is a strong supporter of the Washington Redskins Leadership
Council whose mission is to assist the Redskins Youth Development Program help local
student-athletes go onto college.
Dr Bakalis was a student-athlete at Wake
Forest University as a runningback on the Varsity Football team prior to entering
his career in Chiropractic medicine.
Earlier in the year, Dr Bakalis participated in the Redskins Leadership
Council Golf Tournament at Landsdowne Resort hosted by Coach Spurrier.
