Dr. George N. Bakalis has served as Washington Capitals Consulting – Treating Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Bakalis is the official chiropractor for the Prince William Cannon's baseball team, affiliate of the St Louis Cardinals.  Dr. Bakalis has treated many professional athletes from the New York Giants, New York Knicks, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, San Franscisco 49er's, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, and the Washington Capitals.

Dr. Bakalis was invited to participate in the Washington Redskins-Baltimore Ravens NFL Coaches Association Charity Golf Tournament in May 2001. Dr Bakalis had the opportunity to participate with head coach Marty Schottenheimer and offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye.

On May 28, 2002, Dr. Bakalis was invited to participate in the NFL Coaches Association Golf Tournament which occurred a the PB. Dye Golf Club at Ijamsville, MD. Dr. Bakalis had the opportunity to play golf with Roman Gabriel, III, Lawson Holland, the new receiver's coach for the Washington Redskins. Coach Holland had previously coached at the University of Florida with Coach Steve Spurrier. In addition, he had coached for the football program at Wake Forest Univerisity where Dr. Bakalis had previously played running back on the football team.

On May 31, 2002, Dr. Bakalis was invited to participate in the Steve Spurrier Redskins Golf Classics held at Landsdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA. The event benefited The Washington Redskins Leadership Council as well as generates enthusiasm for the upcoming Redskins season under new coach, Steve Spurrier. Dr. Bakalis had the pleasure to meet with Redskins great, Darryl Green, defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis, head coach Steve Spurrier and  meet Redskins owner Daniel Synder. He also had the opportunity to meet again with former Redskins Rick "Doc" Walker, defensive back Brigg Owens and Ken Harvey. In Dr. Bakalis' discussion with the players and coaches he emphasized the importance of regular chiropractic care for the professional athlete.

 In addition, Dr Bakalis was invited to participate in the Brig Owens - Washington Redskins Golf Classic in October 2001. Dr Bakalis was joined by many Redskins greats, including Art Monk, Larry Brown, Charley Taylor, Chris Hanburger, Pete Wysocki, and Brig Owens.

Dr. Bakalis was a running back for the Wake Forest University football team and enjoys helping athletes recover from sports injuries.Dr Bakalis has treated many college athletes including players from Wake Forest University, University of Maryland, and football and basketball players from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
